Theodosia Merchant Sea port ups oil handling 2.8 times to 216,500 t in Jan 09

In January 2009, Theodosia Merchant Sea port handled 216,500 tonnes of crude and oil products (up 2.8 times, year-on-year), press center of Ukraine’s Ministry of Transport and Communications reports.
By May 2009, the port is expected to handle at least 200,000 tonnes of crude and oil products per month.
The port is specialized in handling vessels with crude oil. It also handles lighter carriers, Ro-Ro vessels and dry cargo ships. Theodosia is the second port in Ukraine by the volumes of crude oil and petroleum products handled. The port can handle up to 11.25 M t of cargo a year, the number includes 1.25 M t of dry cargo.
