[Loglab]Ports Loosing Export
2009/3/20
Ports of the Russian Far East region lost 9.1% year-on-year in January-February 2009. The aggregate throughput was down to 11.25 mn tons.
All the major ports in the basin decreased handling. Vanino was down by 14.7%, Vostochny by 22.1%, Haknodka by 1.5, Vladivostok by 36.9%. Smaller port demonstrated different trends.
The decrease in throughput was due to lower volumes of dry cargo. Liquid bulk, on the contrary, was growing.
